TNGA Application Field:

TNGA 160404 is a type of CNC carbide turning inserts.It is mainly used for external turning & cutting operations on CNC lathe & machine. As for specific dimensions, please refer to below “ISO Turning Inserts Naming Rules” .

Difference Between Positive and Negative Inserts

Negative inserts, like the VNMG insert, have a zero relief angle. Both faces of the insert are therefore the same, and you get cutting edges on both.

Positive inserts, like the VBMT insert , have a non-zero relief angle. Only one face of the insert has cutting edges.
